Update on not getting 10% vinegar in your eyes

I have been reminded by my dear husband that it is a very good idea to wear goggles or some other kind of protective eye-wear when working with substances like 10% vinegar.   I think he has a very good point.   He also helpfully suggested that if one needs to smell a substance like 10% vinegar (for instance, to identify it if it’s not labeled), it’s best to wave the hand over the opening, drawing some of the fumes toward the face, rather than putting the face directly over the opening.  Another very good suggestion.

The eye is healing nicely, but it’s driving me a bit mad.  It itches and I’m not supposed to mess with it.
